New mini brake pipe cutter with ratcheting action
Modern brake pipe cutters can be quite small and compact but there are many instances when working on the car where there is still not enough clearance to turn the cutter around the whole circumference of the brake pipe. This new mini brake pipe cutter from Laser Tools (part number 7624) solves this problem with its ratchet mechanism. Simply slide the cutter over the pipe — the handle gives excellent leverage and even if the space is really restricted, a few turns of the handle will quickly and cleanly cut straight through. It is self-adjusting, so no need to keep tightening the blade down onto the pipe as you are cutting. Quick and easy.
Use on 3/16" or 4.75mm brake pipe, steel, cupro nickel or copper.
If you are replacing a section of brake line (perhaps a corroded section) then another product from Connect Workshop Consumables (as with Laser Tools, part of the Tool Connection stable), will prove useful: this brake line connector (part number 34150) provides a quick, convenient method of joining the new pipe section to the existing 3/16" or 4.75mm brake pipe. It is a compression fitting, simply slid over the brake pipe; hold the fitting steady with an 11mm spanner then tighten the end cap with a 12mm spanner; the internal olive is compressed tightly against the brake line.
They will prove to be real timesavers when cutting and replacing brake lines and access is restricted. Available now from your Laser Tools and Connect Workshop Consumables stockist.
