SPR (Self-Pierce Riveting) is now commonly in use by automotive manufacturers for volume production of aluminium body structures. The principal benefits of this process, which also includes an adhesive, are superior mechanical strength coupled to the ability to join dissimilar materials.

Manufacturers that use this technology in production include Audi, BMW, Jaguar / Land Rover and Mercedes Benz. However to keep up to date with this technology the body repairer needs a solution which will enable the replacement of these panels easily, quickly but most importantly, correctly.

The Power-TEC Self-Piercing Riveting Systems (part numbers: 92385 and 92386) are designed to offer such a solution. Repairs can be carried out to rear panels, boot floor replacement, quarter panels, inner wings and reinforcement panels, roof replacement and chassis legs for example.

The system avoids welding, offers a very rigid and strong joint and repair times are significantly reduced.

The 92385 kit is supplied with a 35mm head, the 92386 kit includes 35mm, 110mm and 220mm heads. Popular size rivets are available separately.
