The blanket is anti-allergy and asbestos-free, manufactured from 100% glassfibre with a vermiculite coating for effective fireproofing and insulating properties.

When contacted by spatter of molten metal during the welding process the material protects the surrounding areas by maintaining the structural integrity of the blanket. The material is a sturdy 1100g/m² in weight and is manufactured to the comprehensive BSEN 476 part 7 (surface spread of flame) standard. Can stand working temperatures ranging up to 1000°C. Can be hung like a curtain or placed directly over the areas to be protected.
