These new aluminium headed hammers from Power-TEC (part numbers: 92396 & 92397) are designed for professional alloy body repairs. With cross contamination being the major concern, most OE bodyshop certification programmes require rigorous separation of tools and equipment for alloy panel repairs and these repairs must be carried out in a completely separate, dedicated area. Although traditionally tools for working with aluminium are generally similar to those used for working with steel, increasingly specialist aluminium tools are being developed to further enhance protection against cross contamination and the resulting potential bimetallic corrosion problems.

These hammers are beautifully balanced and professional quality, with a hardened tubular handle and a soft rubber grip for accuracy. Two sizes are available: 30mm diameter head (part no: 92396) and 40mm diameter head (part no: 92397).
