• CryoCobalt drills are unique due to the micro-sharpness created by using added Cobalt, which makes them ideal for working on Spot Welds in high-strength steels and ultra high-strength boron steel.
• In independent testing, CryoCobalt drills typically outperformed standard HSS drills by up to 5 times and HSS Cobalt drills by up to two times (UKAS acredited test house ).
• CryoCobalt drills last longer, resist higher temperatures and retain their strength better than standard HSS or Cobalt drills and can be re-sharpened when necessary.
• Made from CM-88™ chrome molybdenum high heat steel – patented Cryophase™ thermal cycling cryogenic treatment.
• Drills material up to 58HRC hardness at temperatures up to 650°C, created by the addition of 8% added cobalt (compared with std HSS Steels), 135° angle split drill point with gold-oxide coating.
